I highly recommend Nee Nag and look forward to working with her in the future.  She is exceptional at the whole spectrum of makeup work, from making people look high-style gorgeous, to naturally beautiful, all the way through to looking sickly and scarily demonic.  Nee does it all.  Beyond being a consummate professional, she is a joy to have around – hard working, a team player and fun.  Our cast loved her.  I have produced many films over a long career, with many makeup artists, large and small and I cannot say enough good things about Nee.

I recently worked with make-up artist Nee Nag on the feature film Inner Demons, a documentary-style horror movie shot in November and December of 2012.
Nee did makeup and hair on the film, focusing on the makeup for our lead actress, Lara Vosburgh, who over the course of the film undergoes a radical transformation. Lara begins as a Goth teenager, with a variety of heavy Goth makeup looks, and halfway through the film, she goes to drug rehab center, where her look reflects the effects of heroin detox. Nee created track marks, skin discoloration, bags under the eyes, paleness, as well as a variety of “beauty” looks. By the end of the film, Lara has become a blood-splattered demon, possessed by a supernatural creature, an effect which Nee enhanced, working with our SFX makeup team.
Throughout Lara’s transformation, Nee came up with looks that were not only plausible but also creative and interesting. Nee worked very quickly, and was a great presence on set. When Nee told the AD how long it would take to finish a certain look, she was always on time. We never waited for Nee. She was extremely professional, and made all of the actors who were in her chair feel very comfortable, which is extremely important for me as a director. I want to make sure that when they’re ready for their scenes, my actors are relaxed and confident, and Nee got them there. I recommend Nee highly, and look forward to working with her again on future projects.
